I'm convinced this success comes from his natural ability and good training. I take credit for neither, although I did write the checks to the trainer. This is the update from Jeff Warholik from the Upper Peninsula in Michgan.

"Hank had a pretty good first season. We were able to harvest ruffed grouse, sharptail grouse and woodcock. Hank showed a strong point and natural ability to retrieve. He has a good nose and plenty of drive. Only thing we need to sure up is his range. Hank has a tendency as a young dog to want to get out ahead, but a lot of that comes from his strong drive. He definitely has an adequate range most of the time, but when he catches a scent you can see him turn up his motor. Hank is a very strong dog with a good build and great looks. We receive plenty of compliments on his looks. I will say he is probably one of the smallest labs I've seen (Around 60 pounds), which isn't an issue for me. Overall, we have been very happy."

"Cash has a wonderful disposition and is extremely intelligent. I have been around dogs and hunting dogs my entire life, and I honestly do not believe I have been around a smarter dog. Cash is the first hunting dog my son Boone has ever trained himself, and boy did he get a totally awesome dog to work with. Cash is bird crazy, flushes, points, retrieves, hunts close in all weather conditions and ALL DAY LONG. He.....is.......Driven! He is also such a pleasure to have in the house." Eric Myers
